ICE SOUL COMBO (lo-fi Delta Blues, Kumanovo/Macedonia)
Ice Soul Combo ist ein simplizistischer lo-fi Delta-Blues-Act, der sich durch repetitive Gitarrenriffs und einen konstanten Bassdrum-Groove auszeichnet. Das Solo-Projekt von Ivica Dimitrijevic stammt aus dem Kumanovo River Delta (Kumanovo Königreich). Neben seiner musikalischen Arbeit ist Ivica Dimitrijevic auch als Schauspieler, Regisseur und Filmemacher bekannt. Mit seinen beiden Bandprojekten Siz und Rib hat er mehrere Alben veröffentlicht, die zu seinem Ruf als vielseitiger Künstler beigetragen haben.

Manche Bands machen Musik. Heimliche Idioten machen Soundtracks für das Absurde. Ihr „K-Pop“ (Kraut-Pop): Klangkaskaden aus motorischen Rhythmen, eindringlichen Melodien und Texten, die die Grenze zwischen Tiefgründigkeit und Verwirrung verwischen. Falls es beim koreanischen K-Pop um Perfektion geht, dann geht es hier um die Schönheit der Unvollkommenheit. Mit seiner E-Gitarre balanciert Jakob Tschè auf dem schmalen Grat zwischen brachialem Lärm und kunstvoller Ordnung. Markus Hubär hämmert auf das Schlagzeug wie ein Mann, der weiß, dass die Welt untergeht, aber trotzdem weiterspielt. Und dann ist da noch Bob Kubatzki - gefangen zwischen Poesie und Wahnsinn, mit einem Gesang, der zwischen eindringlichem Flüstern und sich wiederholenden Geräuschen hin und her schwankt. Es ist hypnotisch, es ist unvorhersehbar, und wenn es dich einmal in seinen Bann gezogen hat, gibt es kein Entkommen mehr. Willkommen in der Welt der „Heimlichen Idioten“.

Ice Soul Combo is a rudimentary, lo-fi Delta blues act, defined by repetitive guitar riffs and a steady bass drum groove. Hailing from the Kumanovo River Delta (Kumanovo Kingdom), it is the solo project of Ivica Dimitrijevic. In addition to his musical work, Ivica Dimitrijevic is also known for his work as an actor, director, and filmmaker. He has released several albums with his two bands Siz and Rib, each contributing to his reputation as a multifaceted artist with a unique vision that extends beyond music into the realms of film and performance.
